How do I bid?
There are two ways to bid on an item. You can send a text containing the word BID to 82085 or you can buy some bids using a credit or debit card. Bids cost from 30p each and raise the price of the item by only a few pence. To buy bids using a credit card you'll need to register first.
If you use your mobile, sending BID by text will place a bid on auction with the shortest time to go before it closes (the 'latest auction'). If you want to bid on later one, text BID followed by the code shown on the auction screen.
How often are the auctions?
We run auctions of sports related products every day, running throughout the day. Usual closing times are 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and 11pm.
When someone bids on an auction it adds up to one minute to the closing time. This is to make the auctions fair and allow everyone time to make their last bid.
What's the starting price for each auction?
We vary the starting price depending on the item but we guarantee that it will always be under £1. Each bid in an auction raises the price by a small amount, usually 25p, sometimes only 1p.
How can you sell things so cheaply?
Most items close at a few pounds. We can sell the item at this extremely low price by charging a small amount (30p to 50p) for each bid placed in the auction. All the small amounts of bids add up and allow us to keep the final price down.
What products do you auction?
We're constantly updating our product range all the time. We monitor each auction to see what is most keenly bid on by members.
Can I suggest a product to auction?
Of course... contact us and let us know what you'd like us to auction and we will try to arrange it for you. As the site grows we try different items to see which are the most popular.
Are all the products new?
Yes. We never auction any products that are not boxed and new. These are exactly the same as you'd buy in the shops... just for much less money. Every product is shipped direct each day.
How do I buy the auction item and get my bids back?
If you've been overbid and you want to 'bail out' of the auction then you can get all your bids back and buy the item at trade price by pressing the 'Buy Now' button. As long as you have enough bids in your account, you'll get all your bids back and we'll just take the balance from your account - no need for a credit card either.
How do I claim when I have won?
When you have won an auction it will appear in your members area (choose My Bids from the menu) with an order button next to it. You provide delivery address and settle the balance for the auction using a credit card and we deliver it direct to you.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. There is a small delivery charge for UK deliveries, more for Europe depending on the destination. There are no other charges, except for the value of the auction which usually goes to less than a few pounds.
What are the delivery charges?
For UK mainland and items under 2kg is the postage around £4.50, for items over 2kg it's around £5.50.
Europe and other destinations vary, prices are available on request
Are my credit card details secure?
Yes. We don't take your credit card details but pass you to our credit card processer, PayPoint (formerly known as SecPay) who handle the transaction with the latest in security measures. You are then returned to the website. At no point are your card details retained by us.
Do my bids expire?
No. Your bids remain available indefinitely.
